I have a daughter with Aspergers Syndrome that is in 5th grade now. She has been at KCES since kindergarten, and is excelling in all subjects. The teachers have been wonderful and have always communicated with me about how she is doing. I do agree that there needs to be a better way of handling difficult children that disrupt the class and that students that are behaving and and want to learn should not be punished as a group because of one or two students. I think more parents should be made accountable for their misbehaving children. I know that my child is there to learn and disruptions take away from that. Parents, and you know who you are, need to get it that scool is a place to learn, not a daycare! The teachers are very committed to teaching.

Great elementary and middle school administration/teachers. High School administration (principal) is a joke.

I believe this school system needs help. We recently moved here and thought our kids would have a great experience in a new school and we were wrong. We pulled them out second semester because of the lack of communication between us and the teacher. We feel that the school is run military style when the kids should be having fun, like not being aloud to play on the playground equipment until Friday or not having any spirit or fun days to look forward to. Especially for the kids that are doing well. They don't know how to handle the kids with discipline problems that disrupt the learning of the good kids so then you have the good kids turing to negativity. I have just been very dissapointed in the whole school system and feel there needs to be lots of changes so there can be much happier students.

I believe this school system is excellent. I have a son in kindergarten. He loves it, he loves his teacher, and he is learning new things everyday. What a wonderful experience. The employees of this school system seem to really care about education and families.

Knox Elementary is a decent school I have found the Principal and Vice Principal to be very concerned. The teachers are quite good and still have excellent recourses.

I recently pulled my child out of Knox because he is failing Kindergarten. He has a learning disability and knox refused to get my child extra help. After 76 weeks of fighting with the school. I pulled him. The principal is rude and uncaring and there is no consistancy of school curriculum between teachers.
