This school is a one-on-one with technology school. The kids really love how modern they have gotten with computers. This school could use more funding for special needs kids. It is a small grade school for the neighborhood. That being said the parents are not as involved as they could be in the school.
Pre school teacher here allowed my granddaughter to be picked up by a non family member who had threatened our family. They want you to report all your family business to "Watch out for your children" This is NOT right as they have contact cards in each child's classroom stating who is allowed to pick child up.
Pettit Park school is a very special school, because it is a very caring school. The children learn more than their regular academics and socialization. They learn compassion, empathy, and caring for all types of children. You see ,Pettit Park has many children with disabilities ,as well as many without disabilities, but they learn that all children need help , love and someone to care for and about them. Pettit Park is a safe, caring and loving place for all.
I believe this school to be a gift to the Kokomo area. I have a autistic son and the education he recieves is top notch. Since his enrollment he has improved in ways I could not have imagined. His teacher and aids are wonderful, amazing people. Eactly what you want for your child. I would reccomend this school and staff to anyone that is searching for quality education.
