Central Catholic has provided our children with an excellent faith-based education over the past 14 years. Our children have excelled academically under the superb leadership abilities of the Central Catholic faculty. We have had several children who have needed additional help with their studies. We have found the teachers and administration more than willing to go above and beyond what is expected of any school to help our children succeed. Not only is the academic curriculum diverse and challenging, but the extra-curricular activities are excellent as well. It is so important to our family that faith comes first and is incorporated into every event, from the classroom to the bandroom to the athletic field! We are very pleased that our children are receiving such a well-rounded education and are so proud of the young adults that they have become.

Central Catholic is focused on giving our students a Christ inspired education for life. As with anything in life, you get out of it what you put into it. CC is a small school with a relatively low tuition and they do the best they can with it. Parents are encouraged to help improve the student experience both inside the classroom and through a variety of extracurricular activities. Students are always welcome to offer new ideas to the administration. We choose Central Catholic for the focus on Catholic values, academics, and the small school atmosphere.

My sons are thriving at Central Catholic! Our administrators are strong leaders, the teachers are caring and invested in our students, and parents are involved. The faith formation is the biggest reason for sending our children to the Catholic schools and CC is doing an outstanding job in this area. Beyond the faith component, there is a strong commitment to continuous improvement and great strides are being made in the area of technology especially. Next fall, all students will be equipped with a laptop that will enhance their learning experiences. I couldn't be happier with our choice of the Lafayette Catholic Schools!

The last of our 4 children will be graduating from Lafayette Central Catholic next month and it is a very bittersweet moment. With a student enrollment of less than 300 in grades 7-12, Lafayette Central Catholic is so much more than just a school. It is a community and a home away from home. Everyone knows everyone else, from teachers to parents to staff and administration and there is genuine care, concern, admiration, encouragement among each of these groups. Because it is such a small school the students can be involved in many varied activities, which is almost unheard of in bigger schools. Being a private school means teacher pay is unfortunately less than that earned by teachers in public schools. This translates to having teachers who are driven by their passion for educating the young men and women who will be our future. Lafayette Central Catholic has been our home away from home for the last 15 years and will be sorely missed.

Central Catholic High School is nice because it is smaller than most area schools. By being small it allows the teachers to be able to spend more time with the students in the classroom. The school's curriculum is college prep which is what most students need today. Religion is a big factor in choosing this school. Morals being taught there I do think helps the students to behave better in and out of the classroom. Most of the student body is involved in some type of athletics or extra curricular activity. This helps the students to be well rounded and to stay focused on positive outlets and make friends. The school lunches are also prepared right in the kitchen. Some schools are using a service the bring in prepared foods.

Lafayette Central Catholic is exceptional because of many reasons. I will only name a few. First, it keeps it's Catholic identity by offering the sacraments regularly to the students and having Christ present in the new chapel. Second, the Central Catholic community is very close. They pull together in times of crisis and in times of joy. The students, faculty, parents, grandparents, alumni are one family, always looking to help each other and those around them. Also, because Central Catholic is a small school, you know almost every family. This is beneficial because if your student needs any kind of help, you can be sure someone knows about it and will let you know, too.

We are in somewhat in a unique position as a family with an 8th grader. This is the first school our student has attended, being previously homeschooled. We were concerned that the students might not be welcoming because of well established friendships and groups. We have found CC greatly open to new students and their families. The academic standards are high. The sports programs are competitive. The staff and teachers are well trained and considerate. The facilities are above par. The administration is forward thinking and open to critique. But without a doubt the single most outstanding attribute of Central Catholic is the ability and desire to incorporate all the students, regardless of backgrounds, into the learning community. CC operates like a good family. Those stronger members intent on helping struggling members. This attitude raises the expectations and academic results of everyone.

My son was in public school until we noticed he became withdrawn. I even had a teacher tell me it wasn't her job to worry about the kids during the school day!! WRONG answer! The next school year I placed both my kids in this school system and they have flourished!! Even I don't feel uncomfortable when dealing with parents of their class mates! There is so much open communication, and open door policy that things get better every day! My kids come home happy, and very willing to share their day. It is completely worth it if you want your child to be a happy person in life with skills to actually have a chance as an adult! Best expense ever! I will never give up on this school system!

Jesus Christ is the reason for our school and we challenge students to excel spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially. Our students conduct thousands of hours of community service, attend Mass weekly, observe First Friday Adoration, attend retreats, participate in the Sacraments, pray to begin each class, and more. Intellectually, our school is an " A " rated school and was recently designated, for the second year, a Four-Star School. To receive this designation by the State our school had to score in the top 25% of all schools in the State for " every " test. Our school has won several Academic Super Bowl State Champions in the past five years. Physically, our school has won 12 IHSAA Class IA State Championships in eight years, and is beginning construction on a new athletic complex. Socially our students participate in the following: retreats, student government, clubs, organizations, committees, dances, etc. Central Catholic is the school to go to if you want a faith based education, excellent academics, great sports teams, and an exciting campus life.

CC is an very good school with rich traditions in spiritual growth, leadership, academics, and sports. My daughter has been in the catholic school system since kindergarten and will be entering the 9th grade in the fall of 2014. The encouragement and involvement at all levels of the school system is difficult to duplicate in the public school system. I believe our strength and dedication comes from our smaller size and the sacrifice that many parents make for their children. I'm not saying that most parents don't sacrifice for their children but small things like transportation, which we don't have, can be a realistic burden for many. Our parents understand this and are always willing to help out with a ride here or there. Uniforms are another benefit of CC, in my eyes. Kids are used to it from an early age and the opportunity to wear "regular" clothes is used as a carrot for doing well in school, spirit days, etc. Our faculty and administration take their responsibilities very seriously but I don't think that's unique to the catholic school system. If you decide to send your kids to any of the schools in our system, I think you'll be happy with the results.

Higher marks in safety and security, caring teachers and administrators, sports excellent, weak in arts education and music; my kids attend because of the religious education; need better teachers; motivated students are self taught;

Central Catholic Jr-Sr High School in Lafayette, IN provides a safe, nurturing, stimulating and faith-filled environment for my son to pursue his education. The staff and educators are welcoming, engaging and dedicated to helping prepare a student for life. The community of parents, students, educators and staff support each other; helping families who are in need, and giving back to the greater Lafayette community. We have always felt welcomed, supported and appreciated. The staff and educators challenge eachother to find a "better way" to educate the students as well as each other. The staff encourage extracurricular activities including academic and athletic to further form the students into well rounded and contributors to the community. Our Catholic faith is clearly demonostrated each day through prayer and instruction while many opportunities to participate in the sacraments are made available for the students, the staff, educators and parents.

Our son has been wonderfully received by the students and faculty at Central Catholic which has made his transition to a new school, high school and the Catholic school system a wonderful experience. He is academically adjusting to high school and is continuing his success with the benefit of the resource and math labs at Central Catholic. As a parent, it is reassuring to know Central Catholic provides the tools necessary for its students to succeed academically and in life - Charla

Our son has had an awesome first quarter experience at CC. He is doing extremely well academically; on the football team; and has a part in the school play. Coming from an out of town Catholic Elementary School, he didn t really know anyone but has made numerous friends. The parents of these friends have helped our family when asked. Since we live a distance from CC we have asked for assistance from other families in transporting our child to a Football Game and assistance in having our child go home after school with a classmate until we were able to pick him up. We came from a family atmosphere Catholic Elementary School and are overjoyed that CC has has the same family atmosphere and has welcomed us into the CC family. We couldn't be happier with our decision to have our son attend Central Catholic. Linda

I have four children in the Lafayette Catholic School System. My oldest just graduated from Central Catholic. She applied to a number of colleges and received very good scholarship offers. She ultimately chose a larger Catholic university and received their Presidential Scholars award. The education at Lafayette Central Catholic is top notch, but more importantly she (my children) is graduating with a strong sense of her responsibility to others and a desire to make the world a better place. All the students are encouraged to use their individual gifts to seek "Greatness," not just for themselves but for the greater good.

My children have a attended CC for many years, I find their science and math department lacking. The curriculum is limited. And although they offer may athletic options the are not a good place if your child excels at music or singing. Music is not a forrunner of importance at CC. I find most of the parents excellent people. The administrators do well with what they are offered but the tuition cost should afford them better. In the winter it is cold in the class rooms in the spring and fall it's hot. If you wish to keep your kids away from the freaks it is a good place. But the public high school does offers a much larger variety of courses. They have course packets designed for particular college avenues. The admin does care for the kids and if a catholic influence is what is important then CC is it.

Central Catholic will provide the type of education your child will need to meet a variety of options upon graduation. It is a disciplined environment. They do not try to usurp the parents responsibily when it comes to being respnsible for teaching their child certain personal subjects. They do not indoctrinate your child with their own political views. And they do not pass a student on to the next grade unless he/she is academically prepared to do so. As a former student at Central Catholic, I thank my parents for opting to send me to C.C. instead of one of the public schools in the area. You can rest assured your student will get the best possible education and be fully prepared for the challenges of college when they receive their diploma from this school.
