As a graduate of Tecumseh, and a teacher who has worked in several other places, Tecumseh is far above average. The school is small enough to provide students to participate in nearly any activity they chose, but big enough to provide any academic pursuit they desire. If I had children, I would certainly want them to attend Tecumseh.
I rate Tecumseh a 5 star school we have the feelings and population of a private school in a public school. Very good sports and academics.
Tecumseh is an over all welcoming school. The kids and teachers are at a level of relation that the students feel comfortable asking questions and learning with their peers. This school has a jr. high, concert, and select choir programs.Tecumseh also has a jr.high,high-school,and marching band programs.Art and shop/technology classes are availible for students too.The school is full of spirit with basketball,baseball,volleyball,softball,wrestling,swimming/diving,cross counrty, track, dance, golf, football, and cheerleading teams. The school has regular drama presentations, musicals, andtalent shows too!Tecumseh can offer your child the safe relaxed environment it's easy to leranand progress in.This school not only educates the kids,it helps them understand moral values and how to prepare for the world ahead of them.Tecumseh seems like a good school!
Tecumseh is your classic small-town high school. The local communities of Lynnville, Elberfeld, & Selvin support the school greatly. Sports such as football and basketball are community spectacles and most can be found at the football field or basketball gym on a Friday night. Go Braves! Academically speaking, Tecumseh is just a luck of the draw. A graduate group can be superior, the next can be rather disappointing. Class selection is small and doesn't offer much variety. The math department is weak, but most other areas are pretty solid. Almost all teachers are warm and inviting and willing to help students when they are struggling. A down of the personal student-teacher relationships is the favorism some teachers will express, but that is with any school. All in all, Tecumseh is good.
