This is an excellent school, I have been extremely happy to have my kids attend MVCSC, however, that has changed. It makes NO SENSE to start them earlier when they require more sleep at this age than the older kids, now they will have to go to bed at 7 to get the proper sleep the school always insist is so important to a student. So, no more evening activities with family or sports when parents don't get home until 6. They get home before 2:30, and do what? Older kids did homework and watched younger ones until parents got home. Not anymore! There are so many negatives to this time change. The only answer I get is, "studies show younger children do better earlier." Coudn't disagree more! They didn't study my kids! Parents begged to not change the times and make us put our little 5-9 year olds out at a bus stop in the cold and dark when predators are just hoping for something like this! We are told it is best for the kids, but I want to know HOW? Like I said, it makes no sense, especially when parents have begged not to change the times!

We moved here just over a year ago and have been blown away by the excellence of our educators! They offer ability based classrooms for reading and math. We much prefer this to a pull out GT program, as it focuses on the development of the whole child and seems to minimize elitism. It is a beautiful facility with caring and brilliant staff.

We didn't have the teachers and parents conference this whole year. We have no idea how our child has been doing at school besides his grade. I don't think omitting the conference is the right thing. By the way, there will be no more PE class next year.

My son has 29 kids in his first grade class. The bus routs make no sense. They won't tell you what class they are in until the night before school starts. This give us no time to buy school supplies.

This is a terrific school. The teachers and principal go above and beyond for our kids! I can't imagine my kids anywhere else!
