Notre Dame is a real family community. Their academics are solid and they believe in developing a well rounded student. For a small school, we have so much to offer and the kids truly care about each other.

We are a small school where community is very important. I travel a great distance each day to work here because I love the students and staff. Also--we are consistently in the top of the ISTEP scores!

It is the teachers. They are a part of our community and care as much as I do about my kids. There is no weak link in the chain.

Notre Dame is excellent at bringing higher education in a safe and comfotable environment for their students. The Principal brings many years of experience and really shows that she cares by being compassionate but yet fair at all times. It is rare to find a school today that has the kind of Magic that Notre Dame does.

Our family loves Notre Dame mainly because of the teaching staff. Their love of teaching is genuine and caring. Mrs. Breen our principal is absolutely amazing. Her interaction with ALL of the students is very special. Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. Dolezal, and of course Mrs. Ellie Parkerson have taken teaching to another level with their years of service and comittment to the school and its students. Along with the entire staff and families of Notre Dame school / parrish what a great extended family. We have sent a total of 4 children to Notre Dame. 2 have graduated and 2 are currently enrolled. What a great education from teachers who truly care and who do make a difference in our childrens lives. Go Irish!!! Chuck & Linda Maroney

The teacher are top notch. The parents are involved and dedicated. Mrs. Breen, our principal, is the best mix of no nonsense, compassion and is committed to 'do the right thing.' We are lucky parents to have all this for our children.

average

Our rating (from 1 to 10) reflects a school's overall performance. The higher the rating, the more likely the school will prepare your child for the future, so choose an above-average school (8-10) if possible. For average schools (4-7), do careful research and look for evidence that the school has high-quality programs. For below-average schools (1-3), take caution; a low-performing school may not provide the instruction or environment your child needs to learn, and you may need to supplement classroom lessons at home.

Academic rating

The academic rating is made up of equally-weighted parts: students' test scores, their academic growth (for elementary and middle schools) and their readiness for college (for high schools). The graphs below compare this school's results in each area to other schools in the city and state. Growth and college readiness ratings are coming soon, pending publication of 2012 data.
