I am a barr-reeve parent and also grew up in barr-reeve schools and i wouldn't send my child anywhere else. I love that we have a lot of christian teachers, staff and school board members that truly love kids. It has a great teacher/student ratio and i feel no student slips thru the cracks like at bigger schools. Parents are very involved which is a plus that shows in the academic achievements of the school. Negatives would be that we are small and do not offer some things bigger schools can in the class rooms and in sports. Basketball has way too much influence on everything and some students might get special treatment because they are basketball stars. Dont really think this school is anymore cliqish than any other school.
This is a great school when it comes to grades and personal attention. We are a four-star school and score high on ISTEP. Although it is great grade wise, it is very clique-ish. There is a very minmal amount of bullying, and a very high average of grades. Each grade has about 50-70 students all together. I love this school but wish it was less cliquey.
