I believe a helps to develop needed skills for a lifetime. It is a foundation of who you could or will be when ready to enter the real world. Montpelier school holds my most valuable memories growing up. The teachers played a large role in my beliefs today. From elementary to High school I value highly lessons learned good and bad. After high school I moved away to a large town and took with me the foundation and became successful in the healthcare field. The saying is true.... You can go home.

My son is a student at Montpelier school. He has been pass + on both Language arts and Math each time he has taken it. He has been praised by his teachers and the principal. He works hard and takes advantage of the great education he gets. From reading the post on this page, parents need to take responsibility for their kids. You have an obligation to help educate them as well. We sit with our son and make sure he gets his homework done each night, no matter how long it takes. His teachers have always answered questions we may have and have been extremely helpful.

I have a student in montpelier school. She has not passed the I step for 2 years. She can't get help because, we are not on free or reduced lunches. The principal seems to not care if the students pass or fail. The teachers give her extra homework and expect us to teacher her.

We have had four girls in the Montpelier school system. I am not happy with the education they have gotten. We have moved out of the district and actually out of this state to seek the education I think my children deserve. The principal is not involved nearly enough with the everyday happenings at Montpelier. Some of the teachers seem more worried about following their plans than actually teaching the children. Send more and more homework and let the parents teach the assignment.

We have four children in this school, and three of them have failed their I-Step tests. Two of them have had to repeat a grade. We are not happy with the leadership of the principal, he does not seem to know much of what is going on. There is not enough extra help for those students that need it. Been in this school system for two years now and plan to move from this town just because of the school. We are not at all happy with the way things are done.
