Educational system isnt bad, dont like the idea of my child having to take an Ag class, yes its a community of farming but that should be a 'must take' class. As a parent that moved into the district. If you arent someone thats been living around here for 20 years, you are an outsider & treated that way. Parents are very standoff-ish, cant imagine how kids are!
Having gone to Blue River all my life I must say it is an excellent school.
Blue River has recently renovated the high school building. The project was a great success. The students now have a very nice facility to learn in including the Science wing. Ben Buehler has been an excellent addition to the teaching staff. It is very rare for a school this size to have a qualified physics instructor.
The administration at Blue River Valley Junior-Senior High School is terrible. There is no action taken in regards to any misbehavior. Students do whatever they want and are not punished. Bullying is a major issue.
