My Child used to love classes. Pre-school, Library, Science Camps, but know he says he hates school. When asked why? "Slow, boring and too many supid tests." He tests very high and that is exactly the problem. Not a good place for a bright kid. If I had to do some of the repetitive things he has to do, I would hate school too! He does addition into the thousands and had me teach him some division of multiple digit numbers because at class they are woring on counting and number recognition.

The overpopulation is due to Urban Sprawl as the community is growing by leaps & bounds. There is a new elementary being built to help with the ever increasing population. As far as the school and child development, the teachers and staff are great. The PTO is active and we do a number of social events. Parent/Teacher involvement early on is key. Working with the teacher to see where your child needs extra help and then making an action plan to move forward is what we have done with great success and it benefits all - teacher, child, parent. I love the atmosphere at Sawmill and my children love to go there. They have their favorite teachers and they remember the kids and continue to encourage their learning and development.

This school is way over populated! So over populated that the teachers can not handel all the children. If your child is below grade level this is deffinatley the wrong school to look to for help! I have 4 children that go here, 2 kindergarden and 2 first grade.
