The new principal does not communicate well and has turned a school that was once very much like a family into a very sterile institution. His efforts to "protect" the students have separated parents and teachers, ceased cooperation and communication among parents and teachers, which results in a sub-par education. Parent involvement is frowned upon now.
My daughter is currently in Kindergarten and also attended pre-K at OLG. My son will be attending OLG next year as well, starting the pre-K program. OLG has been a blessing to me and my children. As a single mother working as a RN, I could not afford the tuition, but that did not stop my children from going there...OLG made sure my children were able to attend and worked out a payment I am able to afford. We have been treated like family and I wasn't even Catholic at the time. My daughter is learning much more than subtraction and multiplication at OLG, she is learning how to respect and care for others.
I have 4 kids and love that the 4th child is free at OLG! I also like how all of my kids are in the same building. If I want to have lunch with them, I just stay for all lunch periods and get to visit with each of them, Plus, my kindergartener is reading already! I feel that the education here is much more personalized than in public school. The kids just have the opportunity to learn more with the smaller class sizes as compared to Noblesville public schools. And no specials have been cut, as they were in public schools.
The teachers and students are great, but the administration stinks! The principal does not communicate well with the parents. I wonder if she even likes children? There is not a process for a parent to complain about the school. It is a dictatorship and if you do complain, you are ostracized.
Incredible things happen in this OLG school family. Its not only about math and english, but about respect, responsibility, character, and integrity. Its a worthwhile investment in my childrens education.
The vast majority of the teachers are very sweet, patient, compassionate, and talented. The administration, however, is a complete failure. There is supposedly an anti-bullying policy in place, and much time and effort is made to inform families of this program; however, on a day-to-day basis, bullying, harassment, and tormenting is overlooked or diminished as "isolated incidents." I removed my special-needs child when the environment among her peers became ostracizing, bullying, belittling, and hostile to the point of physical violence, all of which was reported to the principal and deemed to be "not bullying." I suspect that it was more important to the administration to ensure the continued payment of 3-6 bullies' families' tuition payments (rather than risk losing them by, oh, I don't know, punishing them for tormenting a fellow student) than lose merely lose one source of income.
OLG has been a blessing to our family. Nothing wrong with Noblesville or HSE schools (we live in HSE district) but an education where Faith is front and center is priceless. This is a small school where teachers and staff know where our children have needs and where they excel.
Excellent school! The staff is wonderful, and the students are just as wonderful. I have never been to a school where the older kids take time to help the younger kids. The love of God is present in this school, and in the staff. Wonderful school. Public schools are only half as good as OLG on their best days.
The preschool is top notch! Caring staff and faculty and wonderful Christian environment where they lead by example!
We love OLG. The teachers are outstanding. They go above and beyond everyday. My children fit right in and are excelling academically, socially, and spiritually.
Our Lady of Grace is a wonderful school. My oldest is getting ready to graduate and has had a fantastic experience. All of my children have grown socially, academically and spiritually. The teachers are wonderful.
Send your kids to Noblesville Schools. OLG is way below what you would find in the public schools of Noblesville.
This is an amazing school! We love all the teachers! We have had a wonderful experience, and our children have grown so much in the last year. We would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a loving Christian environment.
This school is concerned with one thing...the funds they generate from the parents. Families that donate the most, get much more attention than those that do not. It is run like a business and NOT a school!
Unbelievable school! Far better than any other private school in the Noblesville area (and we attended one other). Language Arts program is amazing, especially in the upper grades. This school focuses on the whole child, and does not cut corners! If you are looking for a loving environment that also promotes rigorous academics, this is the school for you!
We went for one evening of inquiry and loved this school. For a small private school they had so much to offer. I was especially impressed with their science program, music and foreign language were far above the public school we currently attend...
Our Lady of Grace is a wonderful Catholic school with high academic standards, as well as emphasis on moral and ethical education. The written language program is top notch with students writing their own books through the Young Authors program. The new Media Center is constantly growing with the addition of new books and a Technology Lab. The music room features 20 keyboards so each pupil gets instruction in playing as well as singing. There is a strings ensemble and a drum circle who rehearse and perform regularly. The athletics program includes all major sports and new fields to play them on. Families are encouraged to be involved in classroom activities, as coaches, and as volunteers for fundraising and other events. This school is a wonderful place for all children grades k through 8. The sense of family and community just cannot be beat!
