Who are these negative people? I guess it is easier to say negative things behind the anonymity of a website. I am loud and proud about OLG. I handle the good and the bad, just like I did in public school. These amazing teachers, staff members--I am at the school many times a week in a variety of capacities...I simply don't see what these negative people say. I see students happy to be together, no one walking alone, I hear about academic issues being solved by teachers working during recess and before and after school for free to help students, the specials teacher go above and beyond with camps and extra work, the resource department is amazing, taking students that would other wise fall through the cracks at another school---we need to build up our school, not tear it down. Be the change you want to see in the world!
No school is perfect, but OLG comes close to it. We are so glad that we chose this school over all the others in the area when we moved here several years ago. The teachers and administration are dedicated and caring, and you can feel the calm, positive, spiritual energy when you walk in the door.
This is not the best place for a school. There are some really nice teachers but the principal, administration, and alot of people who think they are better than others. There is alot of bullying that goes on that is not dealt with. They seem to just brush it under the rug. If you arent catholic or dont have alot of money, they dont care about you as much as someone else. Public schools in the area are better than this. Atleast public schools dont look like a train wreck from the kids as ive seen when coming to events at olog.
I have 2 children that attend Our Lady of Grace Catholic School in Noblesville, Indiana. We have been very happy with the school overall. We have been affiliated with the school and parish for 9 years. My children feel very safe and comfortable in their school environment. The teachers work very hard and do a fantastic job teaching and nurturing all children. We have new leadership - new Principal last year - so the school, staff, parents, and students are all still adjusting to the changes. We have very strong parent involvement, great sports programs, coaches, specials, teachers, facilities, and families. Very pleased with the school and the quality of education.
With a large family, we knew that this would be a sacrifice for us but it is so worth it! OLG provides the community and family feeling that we want for our children on top of a great education. Our older children have gone up to be in academic accelerated classes when they have left OLG. They are prepared for high school, a life of faith, and with a foundation for a love of learning and hard work. We feel very staff member there is approachable and reasonable. This is their calling--to teach our students. Our students are challenged, have plenty of opportunities for extra curricular activities (sports and academic) and have a great group of diverse friends. We love OLG!
I am a parent first and a staff member second--wouldn't work anywhere else and definitely wouldn't send my children anywhere else. Enrichment, remediation--my kids cover the whole spectrum and I am so happy that everyone is getting what they need to be the best students they can be. I know they are growing in their faith and learning to live a life that allow them to be "servant leaders" as our principal likes to say. We are mkaing changes to move forward with our 21st century skills, best practices, Catholic identity, and educational leaders.
OLG is making changes, that is for sure. Changes that have the students' safety in mind. Keeping those precious children safe is a big responsibility. I am glad that they take safety seriously.
The teachers at this school are wonderful, all the way from the beginners program to grade 8! They invest so much of their time to ensure my children are getting the best possible education. My children are not only learning their academics but also their Catholic faith. I know that OLG is the best place for my children and my family.
Our Lady of Grace is a blessing for our family. The teachers are so loving and go above and beyond for my children. Not only do they make sure our kids receive the BEST education available in Noblesville, but they also teach the students how to be respectful and responsible members of our society. This school has made such an impact on our family. I would give it extra stars if I could!
My husband and I are beyond pleased with Our Lady of Grace. It is a great school where our children are being challenged academically and spiritually. But perhaps even more importantly, they are loved and shown great examples of what it means to live your faith by their teachers.
Our Lady of Grace is a loving environment that has a wonderful staff. Our children love going to school everyday. They are challenged academically, are made aware of social issues, and Faith is at the forefront of their development. We feel very blessed to have our children at OLG. They have a top-notch staff of teachers and support staff that work hard at nurturing all areas of our children.
Our Lady of Grace is an incredibly-nurturing, faith-filled, educational environment in which to learn and grow!
Our Lady of Grace is an outstanding school! Students are encouraged to be the best they can be every day! They are challenged by teachers and staff - both spiritually and academically. I don't know any other place I would want my children to go to school. We love OLG!
I highly recommend Our Lady of Grace to any family looking for a school that provides Faithful leadership and INDIVIDUAL attention for their children. Having a child now at Guerin Catholic, we see how incredibly prepared OLG students are. From the outstanding Science program to the specials like Tech, Music and Art... OLG is preparing it's students for future successes in all areas of their lives. Thank you to the staff and administration for your tireless efforts and dedication to our family and all OLG families! Our Lady of Grace....Pray for Us!
Our Lady of Grace is an excellent school in many ways including education, sense of community, and service.
Our Lady of Grace School is an AMAZING school! I had to quit reading the negative reviews down below because I totally disagree. With new leadership comes change. People want to be led, until it really happens then they no longer want it. Is it really the principals fault that the world has gotten so scary? Instead of complaining about all the new "rules" how about being happy that changes have happened to keep our children safe? If you have issues, he is the most approachable man! High fiving the children, wanting to get to know them, involved in their daily activities, stressing faith, respect and being responsible. Isn't that ultimately what we all want for our children? To say that the staff is top notch is an understatement! OLG has a real sense of community combined with high academic standards. I had to convince my husband to send my child to a catholic school - we did it and he has become a bigger fan of catholic education than I am! Our children love OLG! If you want to get a sense of what our school is about - join our school at 9am Thursdays for our all school mass. It will move you to tears - I am so proud to be part of OLG!
Our Lady of Grace has a very welcoming and loving environment. It is obvious that God comes first here; you can see it modeled from the teachers and staff. I really like that the academic standards are high, and teachers meet the individual needs of students with a variety of teaching styles. My children are good quiet students that did not get noticed in their old school because they received good grades and didn't cause trouble. OLG has been a blessing because they are recognized for their good behavior and asked to correct any bad choice that they make. The teachers and staff really do care for my children; therefore, moving our kids to OLG is the best move, academically and socially, my wife and I have made for them. I would recommend this school to anyone moving to or living in the Noblesville area.
We pulled our children from the school due to the direction the administration was taking the school. I am very concerned with his lack of addressing issues. I am not sure if he doesn't like confrontation or truly does not know what to do. My family was there for years and we gave him one year and the downward spiral was evident from the start. I did attempt to meet with him and nothing came out of it. I pray especially for the teachers and students.
The leadership at OLG is on a downward spiral. I believe he doesn't like confrontations and dismisses the notion that OLG has a serious bullying issue. As the previous reviewer stated, we too met with the principal and nothing came out of that either. Not sure where "Father" found him, but he is worse than the previous principal. I do not suggest to anyone to send your children to OLG.
I can see why some parents are frustrated by new policies, I think it is important to see the bigger picture. When I haven't understood all the changes, I have asked for an explanation. I have never been turned away from asking questions. My children are thriving at OLG and all the changes are for the better. We may be overreacting to potential problems but in the end, I want my children somewhere safe. It isn't sterile here--things are just changing.
