I have 2 children elementary age children who attend this school only because there are no other Catholic or Christian schools nearby. This school does not have a nurturing environment in any way, shape, or form. The kids' and parents' best interest are not considered at all. It's numbers! Yes, the students (who stay) score high academically. Believe me, the ones who had difficulities with learning or emotional or learning disabilities, were pushed out by the staff or pulled out by the parents because their child could not handle further mental distress that the staff will impose on them. Parents are discouraged from coming into the school, the school administration does not welcome parent involvement or SUGGESTIONS. Most of the staff we have dealt with over the years are judgemental and lack in direct parent communication. The only time you will hear from this school is if your kid acts up or you owe them money!
I have been associated with St. Mary's for nine years. It is a very nurturing environment with high expectations. The faculty and staff are top notch. ISTEP scores are consistently very high. Wonderful Catholic values. Tuition is extrememly affordable. Could not have made a better choice for my kids
I was a student at St. Mary's for 9 years and they did a great job preparing me for my current school which is a blue ribbon high school. I sometimes drop in when I can and the teachers care about the student just as much as when I went there and they are going to new heights.
I highly recommend this school. If the acquisition NCLB Blue Ribbon, look at their ISTEP scores, they are among the very highest in the state. These teachers are willing to give students individual attention for any problems or difficulties you come across. I was a student at the school and am currently a student at another NCLB Blue Ribbon High school (which I am also very happy with) and feel that St. Mary's did an exceptional job preparing me for high school. The teachers are of the highest quality and will prepare you with experience and great study habits for ensuring success in the future. I give it five out of five stars.
