When becoming the principal of North Harrison Elem., Ms. Jones in the 'name' of discipline, took away many of the exciting elements the students had to look forward to. The principal before had started a special activity on one day of each month such as crazy hair day, pajama day, backwards clothes day, or literary character day day. This only happened once a monthg yet it has been dismissed as has many things the students looked forward to.

i'm so disappointed with north harrison elementary. overall, it's a good school but there's lots of room for improvement. the principal needs to go. she's caused our book bills to go up tremendously. she's not active with the kids like the former principal was. i'm just not impressed with her. most of the teachers are excellent although there are a few who really need to think about another profession (i think there's some of those in every school). the administration really needs to settle the contract dispute. it's a really big black mark on the school corporation.

This is a great school! The teachers are very focused on students but are distracted as are the teachers in all the buildings as the corporations find that they do not deserve even .1% raise for going on 5 years now. Can you imagine? Teachers serving your children with the cost of living rising as it is and the contract not being renewed and settled for 5 years? Principals and administators don't even pay a penny on their insurance yet the principal at North Harrison Elementary can not find the time to keep parewnts posted with newslettletters. Most schools get weekly newslettrs. She has been principals for secveral years. Her first year the first year her first letter came out inm Oct. Mr. Richards at Morgan Elemntary on the other hand is alwayys visiable and always keeps parents posted. Usually you never know if Ms Jones is even in the building.

The school benefits from lots of parent involvement as well as strong support from the local community. The teachers at North Harrison get the kids excited about learning.
