As a parent of a current student, and former student myself, I couldn't be happier with the overall quality of education and experience provided by the staff of Garrison. After moving my family to my hometown, I was concerned about my son's education - going from a private academy to a public school environment. I was surprised to see that Garrison was not only on par with the private schools agenda, but the staff was actually more helpful and more respectful as well. If you or someone you know is looking for schooling in the Richmond area, I highly recommend Garrison!

The quality of education depends upon the teacher that your child receives. K-3 is great in terms of academics and teacher quality. 4-6th grade has maore challenges, particularly consistency and quality of curriculum and staffing. The building is in needs of updates. The pricipal has high ideals and the best interest of the school at heart. Unfortunatley too much time is spent with disciplinary problems. The same few dozen families volunteer for every project sponsored by the school.
