Both of my children attended Vaile from Kindergarten to the finish of 4th and 5th grade. The prinicipal is very caring, knowledgible, reasonable, and respectful of kids and their families. I had her as a teacher myself and have always thought highly of her and how she treats others. The teachers at Vaile are all very caring and try their hardest to educate. The Special Education and Support Services staff is excellent, and exceeds their duties. Vaile is a wonderful school, some of the children that attend there, not so much.... but that can be blamed on them not being raised properly; cared for, loved, nutured, and well-disciplined is what they are not. Shame on the parents. Academically they are excellent.
My daughter went here for Kindergarten, everyone was friendly, the teacher was great, we would have loved to continue here... Our only issue was lice -the school nurse tried to say it was impossible for my daughter to have gotten it there and wouldn't excuse a second day of absence due to the issue. We have 4 kids (only 1 was old enough for school) and we ended up with lice from November to the end of the year. We had the issue taken care of during breaks (winter and spring) then when it was time to go back they came home with her. Otherwise the school did a lot of activities to motivate the kids to stay in school and be on time
Vaile School welcomes parents to visit their child's class. Parents are kept informed about what is going on in the classroom and academic progress is clearly communicated on a regular basis. Teachers respond to questions and concerns in a timely manner so parents are informed. Vaile is a safe place for students to learn. A high quality education program is offered. Students are given challenging work. The buildings and grounds are clean and safe. Actually, the facility is beautiful and the landscaping is nicely maintained.
Vaile is a very clean well-maintained faciliity with a unique courtyard enclosed in the middle of the building that showcases a dazzling display of flowers. The students I have observed and worked with have always been well behaved and enthusiastic. Their website also features a school song with lyrics written by the students. Vaile is a place that explicitly nurtures students to develop all their abilities - intellectual, artistic, interpersonal - to help them become leaders for the future.
I am a volunteer for this wonderful school. Despite the high utilization of free lunches with is an indicator of the socioeconomic status of the family, the school provides excellent educational opportunites and has an involved parent base. The teachers are excellent and supported by a strong & dedicated principal.
i love vaile school because they seem to care about all the students. if there is a problem with your child, they bring you in to talk with the teacher and the principal. they try to fix the problem with respect for the child and the parents. they try to teach the children in a very productive way. i would reccommend this school to every parent. thank you, Kay Lamb
