Excellent teachers! They work with your children's needs. Love the teachers willingness to work with the parents. Great communication all around.

My daughter is now a 6th grader at Lincoln Elementary. She has been a student since kindergarten. We have been blessed with some excellent teachers and a supportive staff.

The majority of the Teachers, work hard to do the best they can for the students. The principal is not receptive to the students needs. She worries about pointing fingers rather than making a group effort to find a way to help the students reach there best potential. Focus is on adjusting the students, rather than making little adjustments in all aspects of the students day for improvement. This school in general spends lot of time trying to squeeze square pegs in round whole, which is the average function of a school these days.

I am a former student of Lincoln Elem. and went through high school at North Newton. I think the whole North Newton School Corporation is awesome. My siblings went there and my son is currently attending. There are teachers there that are still teaching from when I went there. Denise Thrasher I think is a pretty good principal and I know she is not afraid to deal out disciplinary actions accordingly, ( I know from my own experiences with her). She used to be a teacher at the high school and from what I understand, she just recently became principal. She's been dealing with all kinds of kids for many years and I have complete faith that she will run Lincoln Elem. in the right direction and do it the best that she can. I live outside Newton County and trust me when I say that I would much rather drive my son to school everyday than have him attend the elementary school in my county. The education that my siblings and I received from this school corporation is pretty darn good. My older sister is in politics and very successful. My little brother is in the Navy, and I am a skilled tradesman. We are all proud to have gone to Lincoln and you will also be proud with Lincoln Elem.

This school is set up for your average student. There is nothing for a child in need or a very smart child. You can send you child to any school with open enrolment. Check your local schools. It does not cost you anything. You just have to provide transpertation.

I have had so much trouble with this school. I suppose if your child if a self starter and has no learning difficulties it would be great for you. If you need any extra help with your child, do not depend on the principal or teachers helping you much. I have tried for years to get help for my child with no help from them who-so-ever. Very disappointing situation. wish I could switch to a different school district

My son attended this school from K-4th grade. The education part of the school is ok but needs improvement. The discipline part needs serious attention. I would go to the principal about situations and for the most part they were handled.

3 of my children attended or are still attending Lincoln and I think it is a great school. Like everything there can be improvments, but all in all it's pretty darn good.

Profile Completeness

BASIC

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
