St. Michael's is a wonderful school. The children come out of 8th grade well prepared for a high school of their choice, Mt Carmel, Andrean, Marion, etc. The Math programs are geared toward the student's talent level. High school algebra is the predominate level for most 8th graders. Math and science are both emphasized. Class size and discipline keep the children right on track for success.
St. Michael's is a great school. The children have Christian / Catholic valves taught to them throughout the school day. The teachers are doing a great job. The academic results based on standardized testing, are equally high or higher than the local public schools. Art, music, and computers are standard for all grades. St. Michael's has an active sports program starting for students in 5th grade. The 7th and 8th grade Student Council in an asset to the whole school. Parents are required to perform 8 service hours annually.
