I am currently an 8th grader at Grimmer, and since I started here, everything went downhill. First off, there is absolutely no school-spirit anymore. Spirit week, NJHS/student council events, extra curriculars, and just fun things that students can do... No one participates. For instance, we had a food drive, and only like, 200 cans were brought in, as opposed to the 6,000 that were brought in earlier years. Also, a lot of the students are horrible. There's a fight at least everyday, lots and lots of bullying and drama... And the teachers don't really do anything to stop it. Nor do the counselors. Speaking of the teachers, once you reach 7th grade, they're medicore. I did not learn anything from my 7th grade classes, only to be stuck with even worse teachers (minus my social studies and math teacher), in 8th grade. We get an unbelieveable amount of homework, and the teachers don't seem like they really want to be there, a lot of them. Finally, the cafeteria food is disgusting. There's stuff that looks like cat food and just... Bring your own lunch, please. See, I know I only explained the cons of this school, but that is because in my opinion, the bad outweighs the good.
