Shoals Jr./Sr. High School has a wonderful, kind, and helpful staff that is very welcoming. When you walk into your child's school you want to feel like the staff is actually glad you are there. You get this at Shoals. Shoals students are also very talented - the school puts a lot of emphasize into the arts. Shoals is also a tight-knit community and this spills over into the school system.

Shoals could be a wonderful school system it has a unique rich history and usually every child s parents, grandparents and sometimes even great-grandparents have graduated from Shoals and because of this i feel there is a lot of Cliques and hostility between parents and and children that reflects in involvement in the class and after school activities. I graduated from shoals and feel that the elem. education was somewhat poor because the basic skills that you learn young are crucial to further your knowledge for high school and In my experience it wasn t achieved like it should have been, but over all shoals is a good home town school that you can feel safe about you children going and most of the staff are like family. I am not a fan of the Elem. principal now tho!

Shoals is an awesome school that has been improving tremendously in the past three years. This past year, Shoals Jr-Sr High School was the only public school in +40 surrounding schools to receive an 'Exemplary' status from the state of Indiana, which is the highest rating a school can receive. The community is great, and so are the teachers, administrators, and staff.
