I have not had a good experience at Wilson for my child. He is in first grade and his teacher changed the math curriculum because of parental pressure stating that it was too much work and difficult. She was giving them preschool work, such as basic counting and coloring. She did not even confirm if that change was ok with the principal. I do not have any faith in a school system that has been failing for 20 years. They hired a teacher who was more concerned about parental popularity rather than the preparation of my child for his 3rd grade ISTEP. This will be my child's first and last year in the South Bend Community School Corp.
Wilson has one of the best teaching staffs in the city.
