Many years ago my wife and I began looking for a school for our children. We 'shopped' all around Terre Haute and stumbled upon Hoosier Prairie. After visiting the school, we were sold. Our three boys have attended the school and have continued to do very well academically and socially. We have been very pleased with the time and effort the staff puts into seeing every child succeed. Thank you teachers and staff!

kindergarten is great- wish it were longer than 2 1/2 hours though- my son is comming home with homework bags 3 days a week to complete the curriculum they have set which really intrudes on family time. he's doing good- reading by the end of the first semester-mrs. keiser is the best - but the 1st 9 weeks was a bit redundant teaching colors, abc's and counting. not too much parental involvement ( and parents don't seem to understand or comprehend how to drop their kids off) but a lot of extra curricular activities for children to participate in such as soccer baseball, cubscouts and such.

Hoosier Prairie has exceptional faculty! There is not one person in the building that is not always looking out for the students' best interest. They place a great deal of focus on positive reinforcement. The parents are welcomed and the teachers are always smiling. My children love school and truly miss school when they are sick. That is a statement within itself.
