Overall PTSC is a great district, but there is always room for improvement. Especially once students reach high school, they should not be punished for excelling. At one point, students who applied to graduate early were barred from walking at commencement or being honored in the academic hall of fame. That being said, I attended Boone Grove from k-12, went on to receive substantial scholarship offers from several universities, and I am now working in a job in my field after graduating with honors. This is a safe school district with small classes and a small overall enrollment. Your child will be a name and a person, not just a butt in the seat here. This is truly a district where overall, the teachers care about the students. Students complain because the teachers "butt in" and are "out of their minds" with some projects, but you can't improve yourself without reaching outside of your comfort zone. I'm sure I complained at the "crazy hard work" at one point, but looking back I was better prepared for the rigors of university study than many of my peers coming from other districts.

The curriculum is sub par, some of the classes are missing proper equipment/tools to successfully teach the entire course, some teachers are fantastic; while others lack any teaching skills whatsoever or passion to make a difference, the school in many cases does not have the students in mind as a main priority. One nice thing is that it is a pretty safe school with no worries about gangs or violence due to its small size I imagine. Overall though, if you want your child to get the best education, I would look elsewhere.

Nice small school so the kids didn't get lost in the system.

My favorite thing about this school is the size. While the students do not have as many options as the large schools, they can usually participate in anything they are interested in without having to be a 'star' before they even start. Everyone knows everyone and I feel the district and school leadership is going in the right direction.

This is a school district that i am very proud to be a part of as a parent. I am so proud of the administration for trying to build to be able to educate the students to be the best of their abilities.

The school is top notch. Coming from another much larger school I felt like I knew everyone here, from freshman to seniors to staff alike. While the leadership lacked in some areas with athletics taking over things and some teachers playing favorites, most were very skilled role models and instructors. I value my experiences at this school and know more than a score of individuals who join me in my thoughts and feelings.
