I am not very happy with this school at all. I have 5 children in this school - 4th, 1st, & K5 (3) and next year I will have a 6th child in there. I DO NOT feel like they are getting the education they deserve or need. We are a Christian family that believes in Bible-based living, but cannot afford to send our children to a private school, so when our 4th grader came home & said she needed to get on the computer & research Janet Jackson for a school paper, I couldn't write a note fast enough. What is educational about Janet Jackson??? I am definitely doing my research on alternative choices because I am ready to get my kids out of SEFE...
my oldest just came out of a school that he didnt want to go 2 he cried made up excuses of not 2 go, to going to this school that he loves has great friends & teachers respect him as human being not as a lab rat. I'm very impressed with Southeast Fountain Schools.
My son also learned to hate school here-- in Kindergarten! The students spent a good part of every day coloring worksheets. That's not an exciting, challenging activity for a smart, very active little boy. He had homework every day because he was uninterested and didn't do them in school. Also, the new administration seems to have a big city approach that doesn't fit in well with our rural community. I've seen a lot of changes that just don't seem to work here. Zero Tolerance has no place in an elementary school. These are young children!
Not impressed with a teacher at the school. My daughter went from loving to go to school to crying everyday because she has to go. I am thinking about taking my daughter out of this school and home schooling her before she completely loses her self-esteem. This teacher has made her feel like she is stupid. I am very unsatisfied.
SEFE is a great school because our childern not only get a great education, the staff cares about our children. That makes a parent feel good to know that your child is being taken care of when at school while learning. The staff also keeps parents well informed about how your child is doing. I like that because you can call your childs teacher at anytime to talk about concerns and you can also visit your child during class anytime you please. It's good to have a great feeling in the morning when you send your child to school.
