This is an all around GREAT school! The teachers are fabulous. The principal is just the best. The curriculum is well above other schools we have experienced. My children were struggling readers and writers. Now, as my children put it, they "write like the wind." And reading, I can't get them to put books down - this school inspired my children to love reading. As for science, social studies, and the use of technology, again another big point with me. My children use technology in a way that will prepare them for their future. The projects that my children have been involved in have help them with their personal and public speaking skills (I couldn't do what they do). The principal is very forward thinking. If I could only in words describe his leadership. They come home every Fiday from school to share with me what Mr. Ray said at "gathering time" (Friday morning he meets with all the students to discuss expectations - give your best effort to acts of kindness, no acts of meanness). He's doing this new thing now where the students and staff sport their college shirts - it has us talking as a family about going to college - this one person has inspired our whole family.
Washington School is a caring environment that strives to reach each student and encourages them to achieve. The staff seeks to implement the curriculum using the most current research based strategies.
We love Washington Elementary School!!! The day I took my son into register for Kindergarten, the principal(Mr. Ray) called my son by his first name!! We have never met this man before. They are amazing here. The teachers have been wonderful. I feel that his academics are very high because the teachers really care about the students and make it fun to learn!! My son enjoys school because of the quality school!
When moving to this area 10 years ago, I heard from many people, that Washington is the school to be in. Well, after the first year I knew we had made the right choice! Three of our four children have had the privilege of attending Washington. The Teachers there are awesome, caring and motivational. They are lead by a great Principal Mr. Tom Ray. He takes the time to know every childs name and almost every parent, too! I and my children are Blessed to call Washington Elementary our "home" school.
My son is having a great experience at Washington Elementary School. He's had excellent teachers and the principal is a great leader. We're looking forward to another great year!
Love Love Love Washington- The ENTIRE faculty are the utmost professionals- There is a strong value system and moral accountability. They are fair and just in their high expectations, and encourage every child to be the best they can be.There is Not any other school I would rather have my children attend-
Teachers are very caring and supportive.
You will find no other school in Warsaw this good!
My daughter has been going there for 3 years now and she loves it. They let you know what is going on with your child. The teachers are great any question I have ever had was answered. They keep parents involved as much as they can. I just happy my daughter is able to go to a great school. My only problem is they don't have all day kindergarten. Its had for me being a single parents to leave work so my other daughter can get to school. But it is worth it. Its a great school.
Washington is outstanding! Excellent teachers, excellent staff and outstanding leadership. Great opportunities for learning as well as extra-curricular involvment.
