Dekalb Middle School

When theres a problem it might get addressed but not like it should. Most of the office people are rude.

I have a 6th grade daughter attending DeKalb Middle School and I can't express, in words, how smooth her transition from the elementary has been. Her teachers are wonderful, caring people, and the guidance counselor is great. The school's administration has done a great job in creating a safe and warm environment for all to learn. A+++++++

My child has had a wonderful experience at this school. Many new and motivated teachers have taken the time to get to know my child and assisted him to become more independent. It is a school you know cares about kids. I am amazed at how many opportunities there are for students to get involved and be mentored by such quality adults.

My son is a 6th grader at Dekalb Middle School. He is doing really well but has commented that a couple of the teachers are very gruff and grouchy. He also does not use the restroom between classes for fear of being tardy and receiving a 'blue' card. He absolutely loves band and the band teacher, who is very inspiring to the kids. The school needs to take a more aggressive stand against bullying and students getting picked on by their peers.

I have a student at this school. With just moving into this school system my child has said that some of the teacher are mean. Some of the teachers can be very negative at times. Don't like the star book idea and the way they do the Math now. They also need to add 6th grade sports to the school. My child has said that the kids are really friendly and has many new friends.
