Not impressed with this middle school whatsoever. They say they want parent involvement, but they really don't encourage parents to visit. My opinion is that they have some teachers there that don't know how to teach and the principal doesn't care. I wanted to sit in on a math class once to observe the teaching style of the teacher and was told by the principal that I was not allowed. This school district is way overrated.
This is one of the best schools ever! The students are really dedicated to succeed and achieve their goals in life.
They rush kids to grow up too quickly. The school is old and not easily navigated by the kids. Lockers are not close to classrooms. There is a very high teacher turnover rate at this school. For example, 4 out of 6 sixth grade teachers were hired just this summer. One must wonder why the high turnover? Communication between the school and the community is poor. While there may be many opportunities for kids, they are not made public knowledge. That being said, the staff does seem very caring and do their best given the fluctuating leadership at the school.
