My son has a difficult focusing in class. Prior to attending Centennial he was at Brubaker Elementary in Des Moines, IA. He continued to get more and more notes home about talking, interrupting, and disrupting class. This year he is in 3rd grade and is doing wonderfully. His teacher has worked hard with him to pay attention, listen to instructions, and not interrupt while she is talking. He has not had any bad note home, but they also use PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support). This is a much more positive learning experience for him. His self esteem has improved, he's not telling me he hates school, and he is getting all A's. Thank you Centennial faculty, you've made a difference in the heart of both my kids!
Centennial Elementary is a fabulous, positive environment that my kids love. The teachers are intelligent, understanding, supportive, positive, and attentive to all the children attending. Both my kids look forward to going to school everyday. It really is a fabulous environment that has exceptional staff!! The principle is extraordinary as well!! Thank you to all of you!
Dedicated staff members and caring famiies partner to make Centennial Elementary a special place to learn.
I love teaching Kindergarten at Centennial. We have teachers that care, students who learn, caring parents and a caring Principal. I wouldn't teach anywhere else.
good and proper curriculum for my children's age level. Teacher, principal, counselor and other staff are friendly. Teacher make themselves available if need be. Teachers communicate with eachother which is nice...when I've had to talk w/ teachers they already know about what's happening because they've been informed by another teacher. That eeps me from having to explain everything over again and it's nice everyone is on the same page.
