Graduated from Carlisle in 2010. Awesome school. Very helpful staff and teachers. I recommend this school for anyone.
Unless you have been born and raised and or rich in this town, don't even bother sending your child to this school. Very very cliquey, which is often the case for small schools.
I have been in the Carlisle district living in Easter Lake since kindergarten. I am now a freshman at the high school and I still loving going here, students are really personable after being here for a while. It's a small school, but that just makes it really easy to get around in! The teachers are really nice, and the principal is super nice! The teachers here really try their hardest to help students, even when frustrated with them, and they have alot of character. The curriculum is challenging, and alot better than the Des Moines School district. (My sister used to go there) No doubt in my mind, I would stay here until my senior year and graduate at Carlisle High if I could. Go CHS!!!
it is excellent. They help you when you need it and they compliment you when you do good
We have had three children in the Carlisle schools. At one time, we had one in high school, one in junior high and one in grade school. We have been extremely pleased with the school system at all levels. The quality of the staff and the acedemic programs are fantastic. It has allowed all of our children to grow, to learn and to understand not only by acedemic acheivement but also by social interaction. The staff has notified us not only when our children have needed extra attention but also when they have done well! THAT has meant alot to us! The extracurricular activities are comparable to none...football, basketball, cheerleading, dance, marching and jazz band, music, speech and etc... Because we are a smaller community, our children have been able to participate. One can be as 'involved' or 'uninvolved' as one wants. The opportunities for parental and student involvment are endless.
