We have had three children attend Isaac Newton Christian Academy for over six years and are extremely pleased with the level of education they are receiving, along with the emphasis on integrating a Biblical worldview into every subject. We don't have to worry at all about the level of academics, and are so pleased with the Biblical truths they are learning in every single subject. We feel blessed to have been able to send our children here.

As parents, we are very satisfied with our choice to send our children to Isaac Newton Christian Academy. The teachers are excellent, and serve as a living curriculum, as godly Christian role models for our children to follow. The faculty is skilled at integrating a Biblical worldview into all of the subjects. The academic level is very high. The school has done what it says for my children: giving them academic excellence and Christlike character development.

Our school is Isaac Newton Christian Academy. We are truly thankful for the influence of the teachers and staff at Isaac Newton upon our two children. The investment they make in the ongoing development of the students in their care is one for which we are grateful. At Isaac Newton, Godly character and academic excellence are modeled and promoted on a daily basis. The teachers and staff at Isaac Newton are authentically passionate about the FULL development of a child - both academically AND spiritually. We have become true believers in the quality and value of the education available at Isaac Newton Christian Academy and are happy with our decision to send our children there.

My son has attended Isaac Newton 4 years starting in 1st grade. We were unsure about the small school setting but have found it does an excellent job with challenging students. The curriculum for each grade has been very good to cover the basics before advancing in grade coursework. My son likes the school for it's Christ-centered environment. When asked, he says, "I like it that we pray before tests and lunch". The teachers have been very easy to talk to and are approachable. We have now moved to our 5th teacher at Isaac Newton and each one is my son's favorite. Sure, the teachers are all talented educators - - the scores will show you that. But I see the difference at Isaac Newton because each teacher is sincerely caring and in their soft-spoken style, can gain the respect of the students with being respectful of them. Each of my son's class have quickly becomes a team working hard together and having fun too.

I guess scholastically this school is fine. My main issue is the bullying that happened to me at the school. I know this happens everywhere, but it seems especially messed up that I faced some of the worst bullies here in my life, when this school is supposed to be Christian. The teachers did very little to stop the bullying, I basically losses of faith, if Christians act worst than then what is the point?

Isaac Newton Christian Academy used to be one of the primier Christian schools in the Cedar Rapids area. Unfortunatly this is no longer the case. The new administrator is condescending when confronted about his unfairness treatment of certain children and his staff. He does not have the facts to support his acusations. The school is losing enrollment because parents are unhappy with the administrator, specific teachers, and the overall education programs. This is supposed to be a Christian school, but the administrator do not act in a Christian manner. That is unfortunate!

Outstanding! Teachers, administration, & board that sincerely care about what matters most in helping develop a foundation. Plus, INCA prepares students for high school & college better than anywhere else in Linn & surrounding counties.

I am a past student, and I loved Isaac Newton and all the teachers and students. The Christmas atmosphere was a positive one and the academics prepared me for life outside of school. I highly recommend this school!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
