I am a parent of a Kindergartener and although he is just starting his education I feel the school is more than ready to help him achieve his educational goals. I have worked with the Dads Club program which is a well organized sports program. I am also now leading it with help. The PTA seems nice and strong, there are a lot of parents ready to step up and help out the teachers, but there is always a need for more. The teachers and staff cannot be there for every child at every moment but so far It seems as if the prinicipal and most teachers are great supervisors as well as educators and ready and willing to listen. We as parents are always ready to be critics but we also need to realzie we have to critize ourselves and ask am I doing all that i can at home?
I'm a parent of a 3rd grader, If It wasnt for kintergarden,1st,2nd and now 3rd grade teachers. they have made my son Markcus Adams like, enjoy school!! thanks barb adams
My daughter attended Adams for 3 years, and did quite well. The school was more than sufficient.
I beleive Adams is overall a good school, but they tend to expect the kids to be to muture, because of the area or life standered. And I beleave they need to make more effort to work with parents, on understanding, there childerens education, and LD's if they are present. Not so quick to judge parents for the lack of interest that the child shows in lessons, and they need to devise a plan to get parents to be more invalved in their kids education. And not alowe carers for parents to go uncared for,and a effort to be stickter on childerns behavuer. Dont wait till the parents to ask for help if the teacher is aware of a problem between students, teacher should act as auto parent, and have backboan. Not be aferad of the system and act as though their only for the pay. Because if they show the students they care about them they are more appt. to do a better job and get a lot further in their education. In this day in age, the kids really dont think the teachers care, their just doing a job and alot of teacher, reflect this in daily lack of interest, and moods. If their having a bad day fine but let the kids know this they are capable of understanding.
