Teachers and administration are both committed to the success of their students! Lots of opportunities for children to be involved in their own way and meet other people. Though it is a large school, each grade is broken down into separate houses, with each student attending classes within their own house. This helps provide the teachers the ability to get to know their students better, and truly make a difference in their lives.
I have to agree that the school is way to big and the teachers and staff are often overwhelmed with obligations that they put their needs before the needs of the student. It too see favorites that are played and that many of the students put way to much value on the physical appearance to the point that the bullying and attitudes of their children can be a bit alarming and utter ridiculous!!!
So many parents are into the physical aspect of sending their child to Roosevelt. It is almost too fake. Putting the parents stature before the childs education and growing maturity at such a voulnarable age.
The school is WAY too big. Many of the teachers play "favorites" and expect middle school children to behave like adults. They are NOT adults they are adolescents who have a variety of issues on their own that the teachers have no idea how to deal with. They wouldn't know a real problem is if bit them. The leadership seems to have no control of their staff and it shows. Very little diversity. Parents are overinvolved. Not impressed.
