Northeast hired a new principal this last year (2008-09)who is doing a wonderful job with teachers, students and parents. The majority of the teachers really care about their students and are meeting the individual needs of each student. As parents, we feel both informed and involved with our students education and the specific content/activities that are being taught each week in the classroom. Most importantly, our child LOVES school, his teachers and his prinicpal. I would reccomend Northeast and Glenwood Schools to anyone moving into the area.

We moved to Glenwood,IA in 2004 specifically because of the quality of the teachers and current principal. We found genuine concern for the students and policies that included a bit of commen sense. We were encouraged to participate in our children's classrooms, had constant communication with the teachers and principal and felt very comfortable with the environment that was created for our children. This year however (Fall 2006), issued a dramatic change in every aspect of the school.

What a great school. The teachers and staff were very easy to work with. When ever we had a problem, they were hands on to make sure it was resolved. I have nothing bad to say about this school... you will be very happy having your child attend here.
