There's not much thinking outside the box here, which seems surprising in a small town with such a high quality liberal arts college. There doesn't seem to be much encouragement for kids to see 'difference as good'. Schools here aren't particularly innovative in regards to curriculum or behavior. We would look elsewhere if there were options that weren't religious. That being said, there are some great teachers and caring staff, but hands seem to be tied by an emphasis on teaching to standardized tests.
