Harlan Community Schools provides many opportunities for children to experience things beyond the educational/primary focus. Many middle school children can try athletics, band, vocal, acting, school yearbook, etc at this age. The school really encourages children to try their best and make the most of every day. We moved to this school in 2002 just so our children could be a part of a tradition of excellence. After May 23rd of this year, two of our children will have graduated from HCSD. Both will be or are attending a University and are/were ready for the challenges of college. It was a good move!!!
