The High School has a new Principal who is the best thing that has happened to this school in years. He is addressing the athletic issues that have been mentioned by another reviewer and is making changes, although they will not come about overnight. The school is a far better place since he arrived. The Superintendent however, is worthless.

Living in Iowa Falls has been great. The teachers help us and do everything they can to help us succeed in life. I would never want to go to any other school except Iowa Falls. We have an excellent communication system. Our high school has parent-teacher conferences in midterm each quarter.

There are a couple of wonderful teachers at this school who really do care about their students but most of the teachers do not. The most difficulties I have had have to do with the male staff who are also coaches. Athletes receive special treatment in the classrooms by the overgrown teenage boys that the school considers to be coaches/teachers. These "men" are just oversized bullies who are in charge of our young people and can boss them around and let their star wrestlers and football players do the same. The principal and superintendent are worthless and turn their backs on their students in order to support their teachers. It's pitiful. There are also very limited classes in place to deal with students who are in need of special schooling for behavioral and learning disabilities. Nobody can or will "think outside the box" to help these students.

I am not impressed with this school district. Communication with parents on the high school level has much to be desired. Teacher let students slide to the point of being too late to correct learning issues to the point that to recover from a misunderstanding or no understanding of a topic or segment of the course is impossible. There are one or two teachers that really are gifted teachers that really want to teach but on the whole the staff is biding their time. Administration on a scale of the above star system I would rate it at 1 star. When you try to communicate they generally tell you what they think you want to hear but really don't think your concerns or comments are worthy of time to address beyond you one time meeting.
