This school is awesome! It has a family atmosphere where kids boost each other up. Their excellence in education was obvious from the beginning when kids had science fair projects in kindergarten; not surprisingly they are over 95% in Iowa Basic Skills testing and especially kids who start at NICS are generally 2 grade levels ahead of national averages.

Helping students succeed certainly involves parent encouragement and discipline, but NICS really helps - great student body and staff encouragement - it takes work and it doesn't repair problems immediately, but wow this is a great school if you are willing to do your part.

The staff and school seem wonderful! We are looking forward to seeing them put their promises to teach and help better our kids into action!
