This school is a disgrace to public schools & needs shut down. From the moment you walk in the door & are greeted by a group of caddy women. To the teachers who seem to have never heard of a child's civil rights before. When you leave the school, your left with an overwhelming feeling of just.. Are you kidding me?!

My child has thrived at Van Allen. The teachers and the principal obviously care very much about the students. Being a small community, we often run into teachers from that school. My child lights up when she sees one of them and generally follows up with a hug. They always greet her warmly and have a brief chat. They are learning so much more today at an earlier age than when I was in school. I do know that my child has been part of some new programs and technology in her classrooms. I have open enrolled her to this school and much of my decision was based on my knowledge that the principal and teachers always advocate for the students.
