Our family loves Washington Elementary. The classrooms are small, the staff is loving and so happy to be there, and the community really actively supports families in Mount Vernon. The PTO is excellent and even though there has been some turnover with principals I have found the staff to be very professional and helpful consistently during our time here. We have nothing but good things to say about Mount Vernon schools. Perfect place to raise a family.

My daughters were given a great start in their education at Washington Elementary. The great school system was the reason we moved to Mount Vernon 32 years ago.

My daughter just started at Washington Elementary. Her teachers are fantastic and she just LOVES school! The teachers, administration, and parents are so involved in supporting and educating our kids--way to go!
