Murray Elementry, and Murray Junior / Senior High School is noted to be one of the best schools in Iowa. The staff and teachers go above and beyond their duties for their students, Families and town. My Nephews attend this school my teenagers use to attend.

As a teacher, this is a wonderful place to teach. All teachers, administration, and support staff work together to obtain the number one goal of working with students to help them reach their goals. We are a small school, which helps the lower number of student to teacher ratio. I have taught here for 23 years. Out of the 14 elementary teachers, 8 of us have are beyond our 10th year. This tells you just how happy we are with our jobs at this school. The administration works well with everyone. Our district has supported us. Both of our school bond issues have passed with the highest rate in the state of Iowa. Our School board president has been the president for over 20 years. We are all committed in making the best of what we have for our students. Our technology is updated continually. Computers are available for every student.
