Pocahontas area has been quite unsatisfactory during my time here. The administration is subpar at best. The technology system is quite comical. The building is dirty and poorly maintained. One of the first experiences I had here was seeing a blood trail after two students got into a fist fight. I am counting down, 34 days untill graduation and freedom. ( I should note the school has some great teachers in the following: health, math, and art.)

I taught for a long time and have never been in a system where the caring of the students for each other has been higher. It has been impressive each time I visited. Life skills are important to me and my family.
