The quality of Ventura's academic programs far surpasses that of neighboring school districts. VHS looks more at the needs of the student and less at bottom line dollars. The board, superintendent, principals, and staff are all on the same page when it comes to preparing a kid for success after high school. It's a process that starts at the K level and a philosophy that carries through the upper grades. There is no central office off campus where out of touch administration makes decisions that's better for them than it is for the learners. Extra curricular opportunities are second to none. While the win doesn't always happen, participation from all does. Parents are active participants in the learning process and feel ownership in the direction the district is moving. The final piece are the teachers. In my opinion, you won't find a staff anywhere else more didicated to kids.

The academic scores are not as high as the other schools in the region. This school offers few activities. The parent involvement is realtively high.

Excellent schools system best of all schools .Anybody can do any band, sports, and extracirricular activities they want. Parents are so involved in the child's education. Academics are the best.
