I've known two kids who went to this school. Both started out as nice, sweet family-oriented girls and both came out into drugs, sex and only associating with the "wrong crowd". (They graduated 4 years apart.) I've heard horror stories about what goes on in this school socially. It also appears that expectations for the kids academically is poor, and even low achievers do fine. Very sad. What ever happened to the girls (unrelated and don't know each other)? One has a fair-poor relationship with her family 6 years later, and one never speaks to hers, ever, as her lifestyle dropped so low that she's ashamed to speak to hers 2 years later. This school needs to shape up and get some discipline in it!!

I think that East High is a good school, because they don't have anyone left behind in class, and if they do they help that person catch up. No one should say that they are bad.

I am writing as a parent of a recent 2004 graduate and I also have a child who will graduate in 2006 and another child who will graduate in 2008. East High has been a wonderful educational experience for my children. East high has a positive diverse student body. The administration and staff are very supportive of students and their parents in the learning environment. Students are not just a face and student number. All three of my children have had positive experiences in the numerous extra curricular activities they have participated in. They will carry the friendships they have developed with their peers and teachers into adulthood. Many untrue myths still hang over our school. East High truly is the 'best kept secret in town'.
