We have been privledged to be a part of Orange Elementary since 1998 when I enrolled our three oldest children after our move from another school district here in town. The staff at Orange welcomed our children and they transitioned very easily. It was so comforting as a parent and a great peace came upon our growing family. Now, after 15 years, we have the last three of our ten children here, two in 5th and one in 2nd grade. Over the years, we have had the guidance and leadership of three outstanding principals, a teaching staff second to none and a close knit neighborhood community that truly loves and supports Orange Elementary. This was so evident when our 98 year old building closed last school year. Many former students came back for a reunion and closing ceremony. Then, this fall when the new school opened many neighbors, who had once attended our school, volunteered to help ease us into assistanting parents with our new drop off and pick up procedures. They truly made a huge difference. Orange is a great school and we are so honored to be a part of this legacy. So from the entire Hepworth family, thank you for helping us be life long learners and leaders.

My school is Orange Elementary located in Waterloo, IA. As a parent of three children I have spent a lot of time in schools meeting staff and volunteering. At Orange you find an open door for everyone that enters. Staff and students are always smiling and able to assist anyone entering. This year being our first year in a new building, lots of excitement for all. The new library offers plenty of space for little minds to learn. With all the technology our kids deal with the computer lab is awesome. After attending conferences I truly feel the teachers take the time to explain and review what your child needs to be successful in their education they are receiving with the Waterloo Community Schools. I feel teachers and students have two way communication between them that will help lead to the students success in the future. With our 2 eldest children in high school, I feel as a parent and community member Orange Elementary is an excellent choice for young minds to develop.

The teachers and rest of the staff are so great when seeing them work with the kids. You can definitly tell they got into the profession they did for al the right reasons.

Between the parents and staff the kids have plenty of people to turn to if they ever need help. Everyone is always very helpful when going into the school and smiling faces are seen throughout the hallway

Orange is an excellent school that teaches the students academics and the 7 habits. My daughter feels safe and comfortable attending her school. Teachers are helpful and care about the students.

Orange does a great job of keeping their parents involved and making their students a priority. I'm proud to have my kids attend this school and to have an opportunity to be involved with such an incredible staff.
