Decent school academically. Lots of extra-curricular activities. Athletics program has developed a 'must win' program that weeds out kids before they get a chance to develop. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of other venues for sports for the 'non-elite' in the community after seventh or eigth grade, depending on the sport. Teachers are OK, not great. Academic program in the district and this school has lots of 'scope creep.' Lots of 'way out there classes' that soak up critical resources that could be applied elsewhere. Nice new school facilities though. All in all, the district and this school do not live up to the hype. Had we known sooner, we would have picked the area's Urbandale or Johnston districts.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.
