My child used to attend AMS. The bullying at this school is out of control. Unless you are part of the basketball team which the Principal personally coaches, then you don't matter. Anytime there's an issue he along with the staff bury their heads. I truly feel sorry for any parent who sends their child here.
I think the school's here in Abilene are wonderfull, but I do have a problem with the middle school. There is alot of bullying in this school, and no one seems to care. This is an important age and its important to knock the bullying out, and to really do something about that.
Although parents, students and/or teachers etc don't always agree on things I must admit that the staff and the curriculum are fabulous. We've relocated to Florida and I've found, sadly, that the public middle school here, with it's 1400 students, cannot compare to AMS or it's teachers. Keep up the excellent work AMS! And please believe me, you are sorely missed. Sincerely, Wendy Rockhold(Casey Clifton 2002-2004)
