This is a great school with amazing teachers who care deeply about their students. The office staff is super friendly, and the principal is top-notch. The curriculum is challenging and definitely much harder than at our previous school in another state.
My son attended Kindergarten through 5th Grade and my daugher attened Kindergarten here. The curriculum is lacking, the disciplining is dated (very punishment based -- certainly no system of positive behavior reinforcement), and the playground supervision is poor (my son had a permanent injury on their playground in 4th grade). All these reasons prompted us to research and move to another district in the US.
My daughter has attended Meadowlark for 3 years now, and it is an excellent school. Parent involvement is amazing, and all of the teachers are excellent, hard-working and caring. Best elementary in the Andover district.
I have been extremely disappointed with the way math is taught at this school. Curriculum and the methods are below average. Also very snobbish environment.
Great school. All 4 of my kids have attended at some point, and it gets an A+ from all of us! The teachers are wonderful, and parents are encouraged and allowed to be involved.
Parent involvement is extremely high at this school, the staff has worked hard with my son to improve his reading. I have been impressed with this school.
Our daughter is in special education at this school. This is by far the best elementary school in the Andover district. Great caring teachers, excellent teacher/student ratio, wonderful fine arts teachers/classes. The paraprofessional that helped our daughter one-on-one this year was a miracle for our child. This school is not overcrowded compared to the other elementary schools in the district and is up for a remodel in the next 2 years to bring everything up to date and add more space. The technology offered is very good, with mobile computer labs available, and the library is top-notch. I can't say enough good things about this school.
