Best school imaginable for students that want to participate in everything they can. Recent budget cuts are making a slight impact on us, but there are still plenty of activities and organizations to satisfy. The music program is amazing, despite the recent loss of the choir program. Athletics are great. They don't reach championship caliber too often, but they are always really close to the top. Out of the three school districts I've been to, this is the best by far. And the students have a welcoming attitude and are courteous to every one that visits.

for the most part the kids are challenged and encouraged to participate. Wished there could be more to the music program. Also would like to see the cheerleaders get the same support as the other athletic groups, they always seem to be lacking in uniforms and the ability to compete against other schools. Good school over all, but use some improvements.

I have attended this school district since I was in Kindergarten. I am now going to be a junior and I can think of no better place to go to school. We have excellent sports programs, a very talented drama/forenscics department, and many other extracurricular activities. I love going to school here. BHS is the place to be.

I went to Burlington Schools K-12 and had a great experience. I was always challenged, met some super-dynamic teachers, and was very ready for college in the end. Great facilities, too. The other schools were always jealous of us.

This school is highly supported by the town which provides for an excellent learning environment for the students. The kids are challenged to prepare them for post-high school plans. Teachers hold inservices one Monday a month to meet with kansas board members to discuss how to better the school. Students are encouraged to partcipate in an extracurricular activities. For most cases the students excel in which ever activity they join. Many of the teachers here show passion for what they teach and are willing to help students as much as possible, as long as the student is will to be helped. Parents are very involved.Over all I believe, knowing how some other schools operate, that this is one of the better schools in the state to attend. As for the parents that have a hard time getting through to the administration, you will find that at school your child attends

Local businesses contribute lots of money to this district, It seems as if between teacher in service mondays, and cramming sessions for 'every child left behind' testing, there is no time for education. We are one of 7 families I know of moving this year due to the mismanagement of this district.

School administrators will not admit to any problems Any concerns brought up by parents are dismissed by administration, and then their children are harrassed at school. Many parents choose to home school, or drive their children to surrounding towns for schooling in this district.
