This school is the least desirable of the schools within the district. It is not uncommon for teachers and staff to look down and speak and act disrespectfully to students out of frustration from dealing with the age group. This applies to most students from varying backgrounds. The best thing about this school is that if you and your child(ren) stick it out, they will be welcomed to one of the best high schools in the area.
This school gives the impression they are happy to have the new students, but whenever there is blame to be placed or people to leave out for whatever reason it is the new children that suffers it first. They have these beautiful new schools which offer a false sense of achievement, but all in all they are just that just the buildings. If you are not part of the small town, born and raised, type group then your child will feel welcome at first to slowly realize that in truth they are only accepted till the chips fall. The small town setting also fosters teachers to speak to students in a manner that some would think unacceptable and down right rude. The sports play a heavy role in the school and often give the "jocks" more perks than the other students. The school year is based so much around state testing and it seems anything not on the test is often left out. I would seriously think twice before sending your child to this school.
