I cannot praise this school enough! Absolutely amazing setup. If your child has social anxiety, is behind on credits or WHATEVER is preventing them from succeeding, Extend can really give them the tools to succeed. My daughter had horrible social anxiety starting in 8th grade and I was overwhelmed about how she would do in high school. After trying El Dorado High, Project Encore, and other alternatives, we tried out Extend. Worked wonders. I have to say, in complete honesty, within the first semester, her social anxiety had decreased by a lot! The setting is perfect: two large, open rooms with plenty of windows, spaced out tables, and only about 20 students, I'm estimating. The teachers - when she attended-not sure who teachers there now-were phenomenal! In particular, Beikman, Klem, Goehring, Becker. They were beyond understanding and patient. She made straight A's there! Because she was able to concentrate and not have to worry about anxiety or attendance!

Cont. from last review: The program they have worked wonders. It's simple, you go in at a set time in the morning, complete your work and LEAVE! I learned that it motivated students to DO THEIR WORK. The students could make their own schedule, ie, would do their work at home some nights so that all they had to do the next was go in and turn it in! It teaches the students that if you do what you're supposed to do, you can reap all the benefits! Like I said, it may be an unusual program, not have a set attendance schedule, but it WORKS! From what I saw, every student, no matter why they were there, completed their work on time, passed their classes, and got their credits! Don't mistake this school for a dumping ground of children with "behavioral issues". It is simply for those who cannot succeed in a normal high school setting. The students are not treated like they are guilty of anything. The teachers fully understand, and are fully prepared to help them succeed!! I am so proud of my daughter's success and I owe it to Extend for making it possible!! My daughter herself tells me she is forever grateful she had the opportunity to attend Extend.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
